Product Description
Diphenhydramine is an antihistamine used in the treatment of allergies, insect bites or stings and other causes of itching. It is also used for its sedative and antiemetic effects in the treatment of motion sickness and travel anxiety. It is also used for its antitussive effect.
Side Effects & Warnings
Side effects of diphenhydramine include drowsiness, dry mouth and urinary retention. Rarely, vomiting and diarrhea can occur.
Ingredients
Diphenhydramine HCl.
Directions: Dogs: 0.5 to 2 mg per pound (1 to 4 mg/kg) orally two to three times daily. Cats: 0.25 to 0.5 mg per pound (0.5 to 1 mg/kg) PO every 12 hours but it has a bitter taste.
